The Sarkhai were a species native to the Mid Rim world of Sarkhai. Force sensitivity was exceptionally rare among their people with only one known to have abilities. The Sarkhai developed a distinctive tradition of face-painting to intimidate the dangerous predators of their homeworld.
To survive the many threats present on Sarkhai, the species created highly advanced defensive technologies that became valuable on the galactic stage. Following Sarkhai’s entry into the Galactic Republic, the Rift Alliance sought the Sarkhai as allies, while the Children of the Emperor attempted to bring them into the Sith Empire in order to gain access to their sophisticated defenses.
