Wookiee

Wookiees are a tall, proud, and honorable species from the forest world of Kashyyyk. Feared and respected for their unrivaled savagery in combat, the Wookiees’ ferocity stems from generations spent defending themselves against vicious predators, glory-seeking Trandoshan hunters, and the Czerka Corporation looking to enslave them. To battle their enemies, Wookiees train from a young age to master armed combat and hone their great strength. Though their sharp claws can carve deep wounds, their use in battle is taboo and punished with banishment.

Wookiees remained largely independent during the Great War, but with the most recent galactic conflict, a small number have lent their strength to the ground forces of the Republic. But even those Wookiees who fight alongside the Republic commandos refuse to wear the Republic’s restrictive armor.
